Training and coaching for the administration and financial management of the BMZ funded project: New Economy Booster

In 2020, the “New Economy Booster” project was set up by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. The project aims to support entrepreneurs with advanced and early stage businesses, start-ups, non-profit organisations or initiatives in Nigeria and Ghana that contribute to the economic recovery of the countries after the COVID-19 pandemic. The Impact Hub Global Association based in Vienna, among others, was entrusted with the implementation of the project. Administrative consulting and training were necessary for the contractual implementation of the project.

We advised the Global Impact Hub Association on setting up and implementing the administrative requirements for managing GIZ financial grants. This included:

  1. Preparation and the implementation of a webinar on grant agreement management for project and financial managers of the recipient and final recipients, focusing on key legal issues, procurement processes, financial management and reporting.
  2. Research and follow-up support after the webinar on implementation of the financial agreement from an operational and administrative point of view.
